Cinema and the City
Documentary Workshop at Videoteca
This documentary film workshop offers a hands-on immersion in cinema and the city over a period of six weeks at Videoteca Municipal, in Lisbon.
Building on the experience of the Cinalfama International Festival — characterised by the filmed collection of stories and oral histories from Alfama — this programme focuses on the city as a sensitive territory, a space for listening and cinematic material. This work has been developed by the festival, notably through the City in Film Award, affirming its focus on the relationship between cinema and the city.
In partnership with Lisbon City Council, participants will have access to the holdings of the Municipal Archives and will produce a short, authorial documentary, supported by several prestigious members of the Cinalfama Jury.
No previous experience needed, everyone is in invited!
