This catalogue was created to extend the life of the films presented across Cinalfama's various initiatives, offering a space where they can continue to be seen, revisited and brought into dialogue.
Rather than replicating the logic of streaming platforms, it proposes a different relationship with cinema: slower, more contextual and more attentive to the journey of each film.
The works are organised into curated constellations that traverse Cinalfama's universe: city and territory, memory, documentary practices, intercultural dialogue, sound experimentation, auteur animation, and other ways of imagining the world. Each pathway establishes new connections between films, filmmakers and geographies, opening up multiple possibilities for interpretation.
The Catalogue is therefore more than a digital archive. It is a space of continuity where each film can continue to find its own time, its own audience, and new ways of resonating.

Oralidades de Alfama - Fragmentos
The filmed collection of Alfama's stories and oral histories brings together the voices, memories and lived experiences of the neighbourhood's residents. Through a cinematic approach, it seeks to explore and question the narratives that shape Alfama, moving beyond the simplified representations often associated with the tourism industry and the processes of gentrification.
Several filmmakers from the Cinalfama team, including Leonor Teles and Pedro Cabeleira, take part in this project, contributing to the creation of a living archive of Alfama's collective memory and everyday experience.
Identidades Pessoais e Culturais
This showcase brings together films that explore identity through personal reflection, attentive listening, and encounters across cultures. Moving between essay, sound practices, and observational cinema, these works examine how individuals position themselves within communities, memory, and place. Rather than offering fixed definitions, the films gathered here propose cinema as a space of dialogue — where ways of seeing and listening reveal the complexity of belonging in a changing world.

The Cinalfama Educational Programme showcase brings together films created within the festival’s educational initiatives, including Minutos Lumière and Periferias Dibujadas. A space where cinema becomes pedagogy, experimentation, and a meeting point between schools, territory, and community. A vitrine Cinalfama Educação reúne filmes desenvolvidos no âmbito do projeto educativo do festival, incluindo os Minutos Lumière e o programa Periferias Dibujadas. Um espaço onde o cinema é prática pedagógica, experimentação e encontro entre escola, território e comunidade.

City in Film brings together films that explore urban life as a lived, contested, and constantly transforming space. These works observe cities not merely as backdrops, but as active forces shaping identities, memory, and social relations. Focusing on themes such as everyday life, migration, borders, gentrification, displacement, and resistance, this curated selection highlights films that engage critically and poetically with the urban condition, offering intimate perspectives on how people inhabit, negotiate, and reimagine the city.
