On Going Activities & Comunity Work in Alfama
Cinalfama has exhibited its cinematographic program since 2009 in close collaboration with one of the oldest and most authentic symbols of the true soul of Alfama: Grupo Sportivo Adicense, founded in 1914.
World-renowned fado singers began their careers by serving tables at this historic institution - one that stands in the face of the constant changes experienced in the urban landscape of the neighborhood.
Out of this deep institutional partnership, three ongoing structuring projects have emerged:
1. Research and collection of audiovisual material about Alfama at ANIME da Cinemateca Portuguesa.
2. The preservation and digitalization of the collection of 110 years of activity of Grupo Sportivo Adicense. View Gallery →
